Plans for our 200th Anniversary Celebration

 

Bicentennial Year - 2010

Maryland Bible Society will be 200 years old in 2010. From the Baltimore Bible Society founded in 1810 to the Maryland Bible Society, MBS has been sharing the Word of God with people all over Maryland, the mid Atlantic region, the United States and the world. We invite you to help us get ready for this important celebration. Pledge your support to our next 200 years by making a special gift of $200.  Your  $200 Mission Gift will help us continue the strong Bible Society ministry of sharing God's Word that we have endeavored to be faithful in carrying out sinc 1810. O

Also we invite you to our "Celebration of the Word in Music" presented by the Morgan State University Choir under the direction of Dr. Eric Conway at the wonderful Murphy Fine Arts Center at Morgan State University on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 4 p.m.  Tickets will be available in December 2009.  No reserved seating, but ticket prices will be $25.00 per person for Orchestra and Mezzanine, $20 for the first Balcony and $10 for the Second Balcony. For a group of 15 or more, the $25.00 tickets will be reduced to $22 each (saving $3.00 on each ticket)  Tickets will be available the Maryland Bible Society Bible House on Franklin Street and at Murphy Fine Arts Center at Morgan State and through Ticketmaster.

Next year, in October 2010 through December, the National Bible Association is going to declare Baltimore the National Bible City - the "City That Reads the Bible."
